Weigh-in Day...

Good news....I lost 1 lb. this week. I feel good about it. I'm so happy that I haven't given up by now. The long term goal seems so far away....sometimes impossible. I set my ticker goal at losing 70 pounds, which seems like so much, but in reality I need to lose more than that but I thought if I can at least get there I can reassess myself and then start a new goal after that.
Ok....so right now I am just going to focus on getting that 15 lbs. lost badge. I really like having the every 5 lb. goals, it is so much easier to work for! I'm working on it day-by-day & week-by-week then after awhile it will add up to months and then a year...I wonder where I will be in one year?? I'm hoping for at least a 50lb. lost badge in one year. This would really help with my other goal that I am working on (the secret that I've talked about, I will be sharing with you soon). Even the 14 lbs. that I have lost has helped me feel a bit more confident and has made some physical things easier to do. We'll see....

Thanks for reading my blog! I had another blog for knitting but weight-loss is now my priority! Congrats on your 14 lbs! Excellent! I homeschooled my son who is now 24. He has an AA degree now and working on a Bachelors. My mom helped while I worked full-time. But it was a blessing to do!

I am so happy that you have not given up. No matter what you lose in a year it will be pounds that you did not gain. You WILL make it I am sure. The extra weight didn't get on any of us overnight and it want come off easyily but it will come off. Good for you. Keep on going. connie from Texas

Well done on the loss. Ithink you're right to focus on the immediate future instead of worrying about the long term goal, it's much easier to manage that way.

Great job on the loss!!! Small steps will get us where we want to go, sometimes the big picture is just too intense!

I think a main part of acing this weight-losss lark is all about perspective. So your target is a way off. But you've lost 14lbs! That's 14lbs more than you'd lost a while ago, and it's 8lbs more than I've lost! Seriously, I dream of having lost a stone. Genuinely actually wish it more than two times a day. So I'm envious of you. Think of what you've achieved and feel happy about it -like attracts like, so celebrating your weight loss should help lead to more. Beating yourself you about not having lost more or having a long way to go will only lead to ... cake. Be strong.
